Air Supply – 40th Anniversary Tour
October 3, 2015

Doors 7 pm | Show 9 pm
Tickets Start at: $29.50

Graham Russell & Russell Hitchcock met on May 12, 1975, the first day of rehearsals for "Jesus Christ Superstar" in Sydney, Australia; they became instant friends with their common love for The Beatles and, of course, singing.

They made a single in one afternoon and it shot to number one on the national charts. Air Supply was born! That same year, they opened for Rod Stewart across Australia and then throughout the U.S. and Canada playing all of the famous huge venues before Rod would take the stage. They found new fans, but did not break the U.S. market.

Back in Australia they had to start again and made a record called Life Support. On this record were some treasures of songs, including "Lost in Love" which went Top 10 in Australia and somehow found its way to music industry executive Clive Davis in New York.

Clive immediately signed Air Supply to Arista Records and in 1980, "Lost in Love" became the fastest selling single in the world, leaping to the top of all of the charts. Now Air Supply was on their way. The second single was "All Out of Love," and that went up the charts even quicker.

Seven top-five singles later, Air Supply at that time had equaled The Beatles' run of consecutive top five singles. The albums Lost in Love, The One That You Love, Now & Forever, and The Greatest Hits sold in excess of 20 million copies. "Lost in Love" was named Song of the Year in 1980, and, with the other singles, sold more than 10 million copies.

The trademark sound of Russell Hitchcock's soaring tenor voice and Graham Russell's simple yet majestic songs created a unique sound that would forever be known as Air Supply.

However, it is the live shows that always hold audiences captive around the world. They were the first Western group to tour China, Taiwan, and countless other countries that before would not allow pop music across their borders. In 1983 they recorded "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" by Jim Steinman which solidified the group as a permanent force in modern music. This song was released on The Greatest Hits album which soared past 7 million copies.

"Lost in Love", "All Out of Love", "The One That You Love", "Sweet Dreams", and "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" have each achieved multi-million plays on the radio.

Certificate recognizing 3 million performances of the duo's hit "All Out Of Love," Air Supply's new song was the #1 most added track on the FMQB AC40 Chart, and also one of the most added on the R&R (Radio and Records) AC Chart and the Mediabase AC chart.

In 2011, the duo continues to play more than 150 shows a year worldwide, including stops in England, Ireland, Israel, Philippines, Korea, Japan, Canada, the U.S. and beyond.

Currently, we just finished filming our live Jerusalem, Israel show for a new DVD that will be out later this year. The DVD will feature two new songs, "Sanctuary" and "Everywhere." "Sanctuary" was released as a single on iTunes last October, 2011.

George Canyon
with Special Guest Charlie Major
October 22, 2015

Doors 6 pm | Show 8 pm
Tickets Start at: $39.50

With the look of a Hollywood leading man and the build of a professional athlete, people who see him for the first time often ask “Who is he?”. If you were to pose that question to George Canyon himself, he’d immediately tell you that he’s a dedicated husband and a proud father of two. Family being his first priority, Canyon, a man of Faith, abandoned his musical aspirations years ago to work as a bylaw officer in order to support his family. His integrity and dedication to his family lives as a theme through the songs he writes and the stories he tells with his music.

He was recognized as the most played Canadian artist at Canadian country radio. He’s also one of the most recognizable and requested stars on CMT (Country Music Television). His videos garner hundreds of thousands of hits on YouTube and he has won multiple Juno, East Coast Music Awards and Canadian Country Music Awards including “Humanitarian of the Year Award” for his philanthropic endeavors.

George regularly tours Europe, The US and engages his fans the old fashioned way – by playing over 100 shows a year in his home country.

In 2007 George took the reins and created his first album, performed and produced entirely by him. “Classics” was George’s tribute to the traditionally country artists and songs which inspired him as a child. “Classics” was enthusiastically received by George’s audience and even produced a hit version of the Johnny Cash favourite “Ring of Fire”. “Classics” was certified Gold in October 2011.

He has sold over 375,000 albums and his critically acclaimed music continues to grow with every record. In 2008 multi-platinum artist and pop/rock icon Richard Marx signed on to produce Canyon’s “What I Do” album. The record yielded 7 hit singles including “Just Like You”, the album’s debut single, which was written for George’s son, Kale. His young daughter, Madi got her own song too, which appeared George’s “Somebody Wrote Love” album (2006) “Madi’s Song” continues to be one of Canyon’s most requested cutes at his live shows.

Marx and Canyon teamed up again to write and record songs for the 2011 album “Better Be Home Soon”. The enhanced digital version of the album includes songs written and co-written by the likes of Marx, Matt Scannell, Johnny Reid and Kenny Rogers. It was certified Gold in April 2011, making this album his fastest selling album to date.

In November 2012 Canyon released the highly anticipated Classics II album and embarked on a supporting tour throughout much of the country, wrapping up in the spring of 2013. Canyon performed his much-anticipated single “Slow Dance” on the 2013 Canadian Country Music Awards in Edmonton, Alberta to rave reviews and released it on iTunes Canada in October 2013. “Crazy Love” was released on March 18, 2014 and along with “Slow Dance” appeared on the celebrated ‘Decade of Hits’ CD featuring 17 hit singled from George Canyon.

Finger Eleven & Everlast
October 23, 2015

Doors 6 pm | Show 8 pm
Tickets Start at: $39.50

When Ontario, Canada rockers Finger Eleven decided to start writing the follow-up to their 2010 album Life Turns Electric, the band members all agreed they wanted to do something different, they just weren’t exactly sure what they wanted to do. Since their formation in high school in 1990 (as Rainbow Butt Monkeys), the musicians, Scott Anderson (vocals), James Black (guitar), Rick Jackett (guitar) and Sean Anderson (bass) had released six full-length albums – including the Juno-Award winning Them Vs. You Vs. Me -- and experimented with a variety of styles such as hard rock, classic rock, heavy blues and textural pop. So, over a two-and-a-half year period, they decided to try a bit of everything over a multitude of writing sessions.

“We went through so many different styles and vibes musically, says guitarist Rick Jackett. “We’d write three or four songs and we’d be happy with one of them. Every time we’d write a new batch, we’d have one song that would be cooler than the rest and that would raise the bar. By the time we were ready to record, we had a killer batch of songs to choose from.”

As the members pored through the material they had written, they agreed that the best songs, the ones that rang truest and were the most natural, were the more aggressive ones. So, instead of spit-polishing the mixes and layering the tunes with heart-rending guitar arpeggios and keys, they toughened up, building muscular walls of riffs and performing with a forcefulness and energy reminiscent of their earliest days.

In addition to capturing a primal, authentic feel, Five Crooked Lines incorporates the band’s earliest influences and recontextualizes them in an explosive modern framework. “Absolute Truth” features a turbulent rhythm that tumbles through a vortex of quasi-psychedelic guitars, “Blackout Song” is a feast of fuzzy, wailing riffs, four-to-the-floor beats and euphoric hooks and the title track exits the gate with crashing symbols, a buzzing passage and a counter-melody that keeps the music pumping. From one song to the next, there are no compromises, no concessions and nothing tailor-crafted to suit any outside demands. There’s even a seven-minute song, “Come On, Oblivion,” a transcendent ebb-and-flow mélange of trippy acoustic and electric instrumentation that’s as reminiscent of early The Verve as it is of Pink Floyd.

Immediate, urgent and unfiltered, Five Crooked Lines expresses the exultant spirit of rock and roll, not the anger and fury of a generation of misfits. “That’s just not us anymore if it ever was,” vocalist Scott Anderson says. “I can’t keep pretending to be a teenager. So instead, I channeled my adrenaline to create aggressive sounding vocals. Take a song like ‘Gods of Speed.’ That’s about going fast and the excitement that’s generated in that environment.”

The band chose the album title after they realized that Anderson’s lyrics to the titular song had a universal appeal and a particular relevance to the album.

Craig Ferguson: The New Deal Tour
November 4, 2015

Doors 7 pm | Show 9 pm
Tickets Start at: $49.50

Craig Ferguson was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on May 17, 1962. In his 20s, he took up acting and before long turned his focus toward a comedy career. After bouncing back and forth between stints in America and the UK, Ferguson finally put down roots in Hollywood in the mid-1990s. It was a long-running role on The Drew Carey Show that gave him the exposure he needed to take his career to the next level, and in 2005 Ferguson was given hosting duties on the The Late Late Show.

Craig Ferguson was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on May 17, 1962. In the early 1980s, Ferguson drummed in punk bands for a few years before a bartending job led him to Michael Boyd, the artistic director of the Tron Theatre. Boyd talked Ferguson into giving acting a shot, which Ferguson soon did, finding the comedy prong of the art too compelling to ignore.

Yoakam’s distinctive, supple vocals, accented with his Kentucky croon, sound as strong today as they did on his debut, 1985’s Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc Etc. Its release immediately yielded hit singles, and over the course of some 21 albums – totaling more than 25 million in sales worldwide – Yoakam has continued to passionately sing, write, and play music brimming with hard country and rock roll. Second Hand Heart was self-produced by Yoakam, and reflects where he’s been, but even more so, where he’s going: “’In Another World’ guided the rest of the album,” says Yoakam. “It became its statement – about surviving and hope.”
